A SHORT FILM COMPETITION: ARE YOU A SHORT FILM MAKER? CAN YOU CUT A LONG STORY SHORT?

SUBMIT YOUR FILM:

First Press can be interpreted in many different ways, be it literal or metaphorical, from a nervous first kiss of lips pressing together or the first press of a button that changes everything, to the most outlandish interpretation your creativity can conceive.

The only limit is your imagination.

Your film must be your own work and not include unlicensed or copyrighted material. Your entry may be from 1 to 10 minutes long in length and must also comply with the Kirin First Cut Terms & Conditions. But to sum it up, keep it clean and make sure any alcohol references do not encourage irresponsible drinking.

You may create your film using the following production techniques:

  • Live action
  • Animation
  • Narrative / Experimental
  • Documentary

The following formats will be accepted:

  • Digital - Any standard format such as mov or mp4
  • Tape/ Film
